“I put a shock to your system” was a famous byline for this hero at the start of the millennium. Virgil Hawkins aka Static shock burst onto our screens in full animation in 2000 rocking a cool look and a catchy byline. However 52 episodes later when his cartoon show ended in 2004, his popularity has dwindled over the past sixteen years.
It was only during DC fandome when Jim Lee announced the revival, and Reginald Hudlin announced a possible live action movie did this re-spark Static’s popularity. So as this comic is still affordable and will slowly rise in value, we suggest you pick it up as soon as you can.
